Artist Bio

From one of the most musically rich cities of the USA, you’ll find artist Nick Rowland, an integral player in the Detroit electronic music scene, shining with the vibrant look and sounds of his alias, Super Future. His style is a diverse combination of experimental bass, beautiful melodies, bright future-style synths, and hard-hitting dance beats all complimented by the occasional virtuosic guitar solo. With all of the genres his art blends, his range and originality are creating a larger and more impressive musical statement with each coming year. Having a range of major artists like LSDREAM, Subtronics, Tape B, Rezz, CloZee, Of The Trees and UZ all supporting his music, his Future is always looking Super.

It’s easy to hear that Rowland’s musical inclination was harnessed at an early age, when he was shredding classics on guitar. His music today has echoes of his early love for live instrumentation, with elements of various guitar and percussion types underneath the forward-thinking experimental and contemporary dance sounds. Super Future can just as easily bring the nostalgia of 2010 melodic dubstep as he can wield the most unheard-of experimental bass nuances in the same live experience. In the middle of all that, Rowland can invoke powerful emotion with his downtempo and have you throwing ass five minutes later with his infectious take on trap music. Thought to be one of the most musically diverse, and most prolific sound design engineers of his EDM generation, it’s not hard to see why when you catch one of his live sets at clubs and festivals across North America. While most fans know him for the engaging music journey he’s on, his closer community of like-minded music lovers and accepting, positive people (a.k.a. The Super Humans) are a beautiful reflection of the person he is and the good energy brings to everything.

The multi-faceted music career this artist is building shows more ability and promise with each passing year. Now Rowland brings forth a unique and artistic 2 set experience, with an hour of bass thoughtfully completed by an hour of the “downtempo bass” his fans are drawn to for its healing and beautiful quality. His “Future Flowstate” mix series is a prime example of the unique downtempo sounds you can expect to hear on his “Augmented Duality” 2 set tour. That plus a hot and heavy bass music style set his fans might have heard him play at Lost Lands or Electric Forest, can all be expected in his 2025 two-set tour. Nobody can do both like Super Future, so be sure to grab tickets and catch this experience near you!
